ベルリンのgiged.netに新作『Gallantry’s Favorite Son』のリリースを控えるスコット・マシューが登場。タイトルにもなっていることばが歌詞に含まれる「Sweet Kiss in the Afterlife」をこどもの声が響く公園にてウクレレで弾き語っています。
冒頭の「誰かにとって間違いでも／ぼくにとっては生き方／光をはなつなにかを／待つことはやめて」という一節は彼の簡単ではない生き方を表しているようでとても感動的です。ここにきて彼のうたに慈愛が増しているような気がします。メランコリーとともに生きること、それを肯定できるなら彼のうたはきっと一生寄り添ってくれるでしょう。アルバムは6/9発売！
